Moving out from the dorm

There were many weird rules in the dormitory, so people got tired of that and slowly wanted to move out. Pekka was the first one who moved out from the dormitory after two weeks. He had a Japanese roommate who has lived there in the room already three years. The room was messy and it smelled bad and the Japanese guy didn’t talk anything to Pekka, so Pekka decided to move out. Our friend from Lithuania was already living outside of the campus, in a building called Toto Livingtel. It is quite near to our school, only 10 minutes by walk. Pekka get interested and asked if there were more rooms left in that building and he actually got a room for himself.

After Busan trip I, Henri, also decided to move out of the dormitory. Also my Swedish roommate Jocke did the same at the same time. Now I and Pekka are neighbours. After two weeks from that Noora and her roommate Sonja also moved out to Toto Livingtel. They even get the rooms opposite of each other, but they are living at the 6th floor and we are living at the 5th floor with Pekka. After and while we moved in to our place, there has moved many other exchange students as well. Almost all our friends had moved there so we made a new name for that place and now it is called Cave. Maybe we made up the name “Cave” just because many of the students don’t have a window in their room.

This is the place where we are living now. There was a fire downstairs in the Chinese restaurant.

There is two floors and different sizes of rooms. The bigger one have a window and it’s little bit more expensive. Still the monthly rent is not so much more expensive than the dormitory rent, so we recommend to take a room from there, if you want to find your own “flat” near to Kyung Hee University. First, at the beginning, we paid the four month rent to the dormitory. We still got back the rent which was left for those months that we haven’t yet lived there, when we said that we are moving out. Rooms are fully furnished and quite nice. In your room you have your own toilet, shower, fridge, TV and bed. You can decide the size of your bed, depending on the size of your room. I have a bigger bed, which is really luxurious compared to the bed at school dormitory. We have a common kitchen were we can make our own food and there is also free eggs, kimchi, boiled rice, noodles and coffee.

Sangwan were helping us with moving out.
